Description
Basic Information : The drug Montelukast, which is a member of the class of drugs known as leukotriene receptor antagonists, is found in MONTAIR 5MG CHEW TABLET. Children and teenagers can use it to treat and prevent the warning signs and symptoms of asthma and seasonal allergic rhinitis (aged between 6-14 years). Additionally, it can be used to stop bronchospasm, which is the narrowing of the airways brought on by exertion.
Dosage & Administration : Children must take MONTAIR 5MG CHEW TABLET only under the supervision of adults. It should not be taken immediately with meals. A time gap of 1 hour before food or 2 hours after food is necessary.
Patients must chew the medicine completely before swallowing.
Your doctor will decide the correct dose, duration of therapy and number of doses per day for your child depending upon their age, body weight and disease condition.

Interactions : Medicines used to treat fits (Ex. phenobarbital, phenytoin)
Rifampicin (a medicine used to treat tuberculosis)
Medicines used to relieve fever, pain and inflammation (Ex. aspirin, ibuprofen)
Gemfibrozil (a medicine used to control blood cholesterol levels)
Warnings & Precautions : MONTAIR 5MG CHEW TABLET is only intended for use in children (aged between 6-14 years).Before giving MONTAIR 5MG CHEW TABLET to your child, inform your doctor if your child is allergic to Montelukast.
Storage : Keep MONTAIR 5MG CHEW TABLET out of reach of children
