Description

KF 94 is a rating system used in South Korea to indicate the level of filtration efficiency of face masks. The KF (Korea Filter) rating system is similar to the N95 rating system used in the United States, and both are based on the particle filtration efficiency (PFE) of the mask.

A KF 94 mask is a type of face mask that is designed to filter out at least 94% of airborne particles. This includes particles that are as small as 0.4 microns in size. KF 94 masks are considered to be more effective than KF 80 masks, which filter out at least 80% of airborne particles.

The KF 94 rating is based on a test that measures the mask’s ability to filter out particulate matter, such as dust, smoke, and droplets. The test is performed by measuring the total inward leakage of a mask, which is the amount of air that leaks into the mask through its edges and filter material. A mask that passes the KF 94 test will have a very low inward leakage rate, which means that it will be very effective at filtering out particulate matter.
