Description
PARACETAMOL is a medication used to relieve pain and reduce fever. It is a commonly used over-the-counter medication and is available in various forms such as tablets, capsules, and suppositories.
Direction of Use:
Adults and children over 12 years old: 500-1000 mg every 4-6 hours as needed, up to a maximum of 4000 mg per day
Children under 12 years old: consult a physician for appropriate dosage
Contraindication:
Do not use if you are allergic to paracetamol or any of its ingredients
Do not use with other medications that contain paracetamol
Do not use if you have severe liver or kidney problems
Doses and Administration:
Take the medication orally with or without food as directed by a physician
Do not exceed the recommended dosage
Side Effects:
Nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea
Dizziness, headache, fatigue
Rarely, allergic reactions such as hives or difficulty breathing
Interactions:
Paracetamol may interact with other medications, including blood thinners, antidepressants, and certain antibiotics. Consult a physician or pharmacist before taking any new medications while taking paracetamol.
Warnings and Precautions:
Do not use for more than 10 days for pain or 3 days for fever without consulting a physician
Do not use in combination with alcohol as it may increase the risk of liver damage
Consult a physician before using in children under 2 years old or in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
