Direction of Use: Indomethacin is typically taken orally, either as a capsule or a sustained-release capsule. The recommended dosage and duration of treatment will depend on the specific condition being treated and the patient’s individual needs.

Contraindications: Indomethacin is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to NSAIDs, or who have had a history of peptic ulcer disease, or bleeding disorders.

Doses and Administration: The usual adult dosage for oral indomethacin is 25mg to 50mg three times a day. The duration of treatment is usually 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the type and severity of the condition.

Side Effects: Common side effects of indomethacin include: stomach upset, nausea, diarrhea, and headache.

Interactions: Indomethacin may interact with certain medications, such as blood thinners and diuretics. It is important to inform your healthcare provider of all medications you are taking.

Warnings and Precautions: Indomethacin should be used with caution in patients with a history of heart disease, high blood pressure, or kidney or liver disease. It should also be avoided in patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
