Description

Formoterol fumarate and Budesonide is a medication used to treat asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Formoterol is a long-acting bronchodilator and Budesonide is a corticosteroid. Together they open the airways in the lungs and reduce inflammation.

Direction of Use: Formoterol fumarate and Budesonide is usually inhaled twice a day, as directed by a healthcare provider. It is important to follow the dosing instructions provided by your healthcare provider.

Contraindication: Formoterol fumarate and Budesonide should not be used by individuals with a known allergy to formoterol fumarate, budesonide or any other component of the medication. It should also not be used by individuals with a severe hypersensitivity to milk proteins.

Doses and Administration: The usual adult starting dose for Formoterol fumarate and Budesonide is one inhalation of the medication twice daily. The dosage may be adjusted based on the individual’s response to the treatment and severity of the disease.

Side Effects: Common side effects of Formoterol fumarate and Budesonide include hoarseness, throat irritation, and headache. More serious side effects can include worsening of asthma symptoms, chest tightness and irregular heartbeats.

Interactions: Formoterol fumarate and Budesonide may interact with other medications such as beta-blockers, tricyclic antidepressants, and monoamine oxidase inhibitors. It is important to tell your healthcare provider about all medications you are taking before starting treatment with Formoterol fumarate and Budesonide.
