Description
Fenofibrate is a medication used to lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood, and it is also used to decrease the risk of heart attacks and strokes.
Direction of Use:
Fenofibrate is usually taken orally once a day, with or without food.
Contraindication:
Fenofibrate should not be used in patients with a known hypersensitivity to the medication or in patients with severe liver disease or gallbladder problems.
Doses and Administration:
The usual starting dose for adults is 48-145mg once daily. Doses may be increased or decreased as needed and as tolerated.
