Description

Acyclovir is an antiviral medication used to treat infections caused by certain types of viruses, including herpes simplex virus, varicella-zoster virus, and Epstein-Barr virus.

Direction of Use:

Acyclovir is usually taken 5 times a day for 5-10 days. The usual adult dose for oral administration is 200 mg every 4 hours, while for intravenous administration the usual adult dose is 5-10 mg/kg every 8 hours.
