Description
Carbimazole is a medication used to treat hyperthyroidism, a condition in which the thyroid gland produces too much thyroid hormone. Carbimazole works by inhibiting the production of thyroid hormones in the thyroid gland.
Direction of use:
Take this medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It is usually taken once or twice a day, with or without food.
Contraindication:
Do not use carbimazole if you have had a severe allergic reaction to it in the past, or if you have a blood disorder or a history of bone marrow suppression.
Doses and Administration:
The usual adult starting dose is 15-40mg once or twice a day. Your doctor may adjust the dosage as needed.
