Description
SALBUTAMOL SULPHATE 100MCG is a medication used to treat and prevent bronchospasm (narrowing of airways) in conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Direction of Use:
Inhaled through a metered-dose inhaler (MDI) or nebulizer as directed by a healthcare professional.
Contraindication:
Known hypersensitivity to Salbutamol or any of its components.
Doses and Administration:
The usual adult dose is 1-2 puffs every 4-6 hours as needed, with a maximum of 8 puffs per day.
The usual pediatric dose is 1 puff every 4-6 hours as needed, with a maximum of 4 puffs per day.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include tremor, headache, and palpitations.
Less common side effects include nervousness, insomnia, and muscle cramps.
Interactions:
Salbutamol may interact with beta-blockers, diuretics, and other bronchodilators.

Warnings and Precautions:
Salbutamol should not be used as a sole therapy for asthma.

It should be used with caution in patients with severe hypertension or cardiac arrhythmias.
