Description
SALBUTAMOL is a bronchodilator medication used to treat and prevent symptoms of asthma and other lung conditions such as bronchospasm, bronchitis and emphysema.
Direction of Use:
Inhalation via metered-dose inhaler (MDI) or nebulizer
Consult a physician or pharmacist for proper technique
Contraindication:
hypersensitivity to salbutamol or any of the excipients
Doses and Administration:
Adults and children over 12 years: 1-2 puffs every 4-6 hours as needed
Children under 12 years: Consult a physician
Side Effects:
Tremors, headache, palpitations, muscle cramps, nausea, and insomnia
Interactions:
Salbutamol may interact with other medications such as beta-blockers, diuretics, and MAO inhibitors, Consult a physician or pharmacist before using salbutamol in combination with other medication.
Warnings and Precautions:
Not for use in treating an acute asthma attack
Use with caution in patients with hypertension, diabetes, or thyrotoxicosis
Seek medical attention if symptoms worsen or do not improve.
