Description

Atenolol is a beta-blocker medication used to treat high blood pressure, angina (chest pain), and heart attack.

Direction of Use:

Atenolol is taken orally, typically once or twice daily.

Contraindication:

Atenolol should not be used in patients with a known allergy to the medication or with certain medical conditions such as asthma, heart failure, or slow heart rate.

Doses and Administration:

The usual starting dose for adults is 50 mg once daily. Doses may be increased as needed and as tolerated.

Side Effects:
