Description
ACICLOVIR CREAM is an antiviral medication used to treat herpes simplex virus (HSV) infections of the skin, such as cold sores, genital herpes, and shingles.
Direction of Use: Clean and dry the affected area before applying the cream. Apply the cream to the affected area 5 times a day, at approximately 4 hourly intervals, for 4 days.
Contraindication: ACICLOVIR CREAM is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to aciclovir or any component of the cream.
Doses and Administration: The recommended dosage of ACICLOVIR CREAM is 5 times a day for 4 days.
Side Effects: Common side effects of ACICLOVIR CREAM include skin irritation, itching, burning or stinging sensation, redness, or dryness at the application site.
Interactions: ACICLOVIR CREAM does not interact with any other drugs.
