Description
A G-dressing 5*7cm is a smaller version of the G-dressing, it is used to cover and protect small granulating wounds. It consist of a foam pad that is made of an open-cell, polyurethane foam, which is designed to be highly absorbent and to maintain a moist environment around the wound, which is important for the proper healing of granulating wounds. The foam pad is then covered with a semi-permeable film or a hydrocolloid layer which is designed to protect the foam pad from contamination and to keep the wound environment moist.
It’s important to note that G-dressing should be changed every 1-7 days or as instructed by a healthcare professional. It should be applied only to clean and dry skin, and the wound should be cleaned and inspected prior to applying the dressing. Using a dressing that is the appropriate size for the wound is important, using a dressing that is too large or too small can impede wound healing and increase the risk of complications.
