Description

Basic Information : The non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication (NSAID) class of painkillers includes Naprosyn 250 Tablet 15’s (NSAIDs). In diseases including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis (pain and stiffness in the backbone), cervical spondylitis (wear and tear of spinal discs in the neck), and acute gout, Naprosyn 250 Tablet 15’s are generally used to lessen pain and swelling in muscles and joints (severe pain due to excess of uric acid). Inflammation of one or more joints due to arthritis results in pain and stiffness in the joints, which get worse with time.

Dosage & Administration : Tablet: Take it preferably with or after food to avoid stomach upset or take as advised by the doctor. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, chew or break it.Suspension: Shake the bottle well before use. Check the label for directions and take it with food or as advised by the doctor with the help of a measuring cup.

Interactions : Naprosyn 250 Tablet 15’s may have interaction with pain killers (ibuprofen, diclofenac, paracetamol, aspirin), high blood pressure-lowering medicines (propranolol, enalapril, cilazapril, losartan, candesartan, eprosartan), water pills (furosemide), blood thinners (heparin, warfarin, clopidogrel), fits related medicines (phenytoin), antidiabetic drugs (glimepiride, glipizide), antibiotics (moxifloxacin, ciprofloxacin), HIV/AIDS medicines (Zidovudine).

Warnings & Precautions : If you are allergic to Naprosyn 250 Tablet 15’s or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Naprosyn 250 Tablet 15’s is not recommended for pregnant women especially in third trimester as it may cause harm to the baby. Therefore, pregnant or breastfeeding women are advised to consult a doctor before taking Naprosyn 250 Tablet 15’s. Elderly patients are at greater risk for gastrointestinal bleeding problems so the doctor can limit their dose. Do not consume alcohol with Naprosyn 250 Tablet 15’s as it may increase the risk of stomach bleeding. Naprosyn 250 Tablet 15’s may cause an increased risk of severe heart problems like myocardial infarction, and stroke, which can be fatal. If you notice bleeding from your back passage as black sticky motions or bloody stools, blood in vomit or stomach pain spreading to back, please stop taking Naprosyn 250 Tablet 15’s and contact your doctor immediately. It should not be used by the patient who had undergone recent heart bypass surgery or are about to undergo surgery. Naprosyn 250 Tablet 15’s increases the risk of severe gastrointestinal conditions like bleeding, ulceration, and perforation of the stomach or intestines, which can be fatal. If you experience weight loss, diarrhea, pain or vomiting, please stop taking Naprosyn 250 Tablet 15’s and consult a doctor immediately as these might be signs of worsening or Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis (swelling in digestive tract).
