Description
PREGABALIN is an anticonvulsant medication used to treat conditions such as neuropathic pain, fibromyalgia, and generalized anxiety disorder.
METHYL COBALAMINE is a form of vitamin B12 that is used to treat vitamin B12 deficiency. It is often used to treat pernicious anemia and other conditions that affect the nervous system.
Direction of Use:
PREGABALIN is usually taken orally, once or twice a day, with or without food. The dosage and length of treatment will depend on the condition being treated.
METHYL COBALAMINE is usually taken orally, either as a tablet or liquid, once a day or as directed by the doctor.
Contraindication:
PREGABALIN should not be used in people who are allergic to pregabalin or any other ingredients in the medication.
METHYL COBALAMINE should not be used in people who are allergic to methylcobalamin or any other ingredients in the medication.
Doses and Administration:
The usual adult dosage for treating neuropathic pain is 150-600 mg per day. For treating fibromyalgia, the usual adult dosage is 300-450 mg per day.
The usual adult dosage of METHYL COBALAMINE is 1000 mcg per day.
Side Effects:
Common side effects of PREGABALIN include dizziness, drowsiness, headache, fatigue, nausea, and dry mouth.
Common side effects of METHYL COBALAMINE include nausea, diarrhea, stomach upset, itching, and skin rash.
Interactions:
PREGABALIN may interact with other medications such as opioids, sedatives, and anti-anxiety medications.
METHYL COBALAMINE may interact with other medications such as metformin and proton pump inhibitors
Warnings and Precautions:
PREGABALIN may cause drowsiness or dizziness, so it should be used with caution when driving or operating heavy machinery.
METHYL COBALAMINE should be used with caution in people with Leber’s disease, as it may cause vision loss. It should also be used with caution in people with kidney disease, as large doses may cause kidney damage.
