Description
Enalapril maleate is an ACE inhibitor medication used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and heart failure.
Direction of Use:
Take enalapril exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.
Contraindication:
Enalapril should not be used if you have certain medical conditions such as severe kidney or liver disease, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Doses and Administration:
The usual adult starting dose is 10mg once a day. Your doctor may adjust your dose as needed.
Side Effects:
Common side effects include headache, dizziness, and fatigue.
Serious side effects may include fainting, chest pain, and difficulty breathing.
