Description

Sitagliptin Phosphate is a medication used to lower blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes by increasing insulin production and decreasing glucose production in the liver. It is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor.

Direction of Use:

Sitagliptin Phosphate is usually taken orally once a day with or without food.

Contraindication:

Sitagliptin Phosphate should not be used in patients with a known hypersensitivity to the medication, or in patients with type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, or severe kidney or liver disease.

Doses and Administration:

The usual starting dose for adults is Sitagliptin 100mg orally once a day. Doses may be increased as needed and as tolerated.

Interactions:
