SYNOGEL SUSP

Description

Aluminium Hydroxide, Dimethocaine, Magnesium Hydroxide and Simethicone is a combination of medications used to treat indigestion, heartburn, acid reflux, and gas.

Direction of Use: It is usually taken orally as tablets or capsules, with or without food.

Contraindication: It is contraindicated in people with a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. It should also be avoided in people with severe kidney disease, as magnesium hydroxide can build up to dangerous levels in people with kidney problems.

Doses and Administration: The usual adult dose is one to two tablets or capsules as needed. The frequency of use should not exceed 4 times a day.

Side Effects: Common side effects include constipation, diarrhea, and stomach upset.

Interactions: This medication may interact with other medications such as antibiotics, blood pressure medications, and diabetes medications.

Warnings and Precautions: Long-term use of this medication may lead to the development of kidney stones. It should be used with caution in people with kidney disease, and in those who are on a low-magnesium diet. It is also important to note that simethicone may not be effective for all types of gas and may not be effective in reducing gas caused by certain medical conditions or food intolerances.
